Emails are one thing that we cannot dream of living without in this Internet era. All of us use email services in our day to day life and there are  lot of free email service providers such as Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail etc. Some are even more addicted to email that they check their mails every 5 or 10 minutes while they are online.

I use to check my mails every morning when I go online and I do this with utter excitement to find if I have got any interesting mails from friends, relatives etc. But there are certain types of mails that turns most of us when we see them in our email Inbox. I have listed around 10 of them which I feel most annoying to see in my Inbox.

1) Lottery Winning Notification
This types of mails tried to please me in the initial stages of my internet life, but very soon I learned that the lottery winning notification mails were nothing, but a total scam. I was also wondered on how I won the lottery even without my prior knowledge. But these days, whenever I see such mails,  I don’t hesitate to move them to thrash even without opening.

2) Irrelevant Advertisements
Irrelevant advertisements which populate yourIinbox is always an headache and I only have the option of marking it spam or sending it to the thrash.

3) Dating Offers
Dating offers are one a kind of mails which are aimed mainly at youngsters, and  a lot of youngsters reply to these kinds of mails and later they find out that it was some marketing campaign of some company which offers some dating tools. As I am past my bachelor life, such mails really turns me off and I simply delete them without reading.

4) Job Change Offer
This types of mails are send by online job portals and their subjects are generally like “Do you want to change your job?”, “Are you looking for a job change” etc. When we open such mails, we gets details about the job portals and there would be probably some links to the respective job portal. We just land on these job portal to find out that there are no jobs matching our criteria or some irrelevant job categories.

5) Medication Mails
This is another most annoying type of mails which I often seen in my inbox. They are generally mails which offers penis enlargement medicines and tips, sexual arousement tips / medicines, etc. These mails also have the most probability of having virus within them. Any way I have set my mail filter accordingly that such types of mails rarely fall into my Inbox these days.

6) Fund Transfer Mails
This is the most sympathetic type of mail which has the most probability of getting preys. Such type of mails would be send by some unknown gentleman / gentlewoman stating that their father / mother was a billionaire and lost their lives in a plane crash or any other accidents. The next part of the mail states that their father / mother had huge amount of money deposited in some other countries and needs to transfer it to their home country. After this they would be asking our help to transfer the money, which is a total fraud activity. Many fell prey to this due to ignorance, but luckily I never read such mails and send them to thrash or mark as spam.

7) Spiritual Email Chains
Another most irritating mails is the spiritual email chains which are send to us mostly by our friends or relative. The mail usually contains a spiritual message, prayer or an image and asks us to forward this mail to a particular number of people. If we forward it the mail guarantees that we will get the reward within a particular time frame. On the other hand, if we don’t forward it to anyone the mail assure bad luck to us and even assures us to be dead!! Being fed up with this type of mails, I stopped forwarding them and deletes them on seeing at first sight itself.

8) Fortune Sharing Email Chains
Similar to the above mentioned spiritual email chains, fortune sharing mails also contains some message or images of some top companies. The mail states that the company is going to share its revenue / fortune with the people and who ever forwards this message to a particular amount of people would be eligible for getting the fortune share. Initially I forwarded this to people and waited for the fortune to arrive, but in vain. So quick deletion of such mail is the only option left with me.

9) Social Networking / Social Media updates.
This type of mails comes as a results of updates made in various social networking or social media sites that we have joined. Some of them are useful to us, as it contains updates or replies of our friends. But some of them are not much useful as it contains general updates which are not much useful to us. So we cannot blindly delete them, but needs to read them carefully before sending to thrash.

10) Subscription and Newsletter Mails
These are less harmful type of annoying mails, which gets into our Inbox as a result of the subscription to some other websites earlier. We might not be visiting those websites, but still gets their newsletters and announcements via email. I either delete them or unsubscribe from their mailing list.
