The Euro Cup Soccer 2012 Championship was just over a few weeks back and this was an event which was won by the World Champions Spain. Overall, the tournament offered some of the best moments for football lovers and it was really action packed. In another major match of the Euro Cup 2012 championship, France and England ended up in a 1-1 draw which saw England really putting up a good show against France. England seems to be really serious about winning Euro Cup soccer 2012 and it was quite evident from their match against France. England’s Joleon Lescott opened the scoring for England after headed one cross from Steven Gerrard.
But France returned strongly and within 9 minutes, they gave it back to England after Samir Nasri equalized for France. After that the two teams tried their best to score a goal that could present a memorable victory, but both the teams had to be satisfied with a draw. Both England and France had to play under extreme difficult conditions as the extreme heat and humidity was really challenging.
In another match in the group Ukraine beat Sweden 2-1 to make a positive start to their Euro Cup 2012 campaign. Ukraine’s goals were scored by Shevchenko in the 55th and 61st minutes, where as Ibrahimovic scored the lone goal for Sweden in the 52nd minute. Overall the match was interesting and both teams had their share of moment, where ultimately Ukraine had the final laugh.
In the match between Italy and Spain in Group C, both the teams ended up 1-1 with Fábregas scoring for Spain in the 64th minute and Di Natale scoring for Italy in the 60th minute. It was a match which was dominated by Spain as they had 66% of the ball possession and had almost 18 goal attempts when compared to Italy’s 11 goal attempts. Even though Italy took the lead initially, Spain was quick enough to respond and score the equiliser in whithin 4 minutes.
