Apple has opened the iCloud beta  to the developers around the world, replacing the MobileMe program by Apple. To access the features of the iCloud, the users need to have a developer account which is linked to their Apple ID. iCloud features your Contacts, Calendar, iWork and Find my iPhone  and all the features available in both Mac OS X and iOS 5.

iCloud allows users to store multimedia data such as music files for download to different devices such as iPhones, iPods, iPads, and personal computers running Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows on computer servers owned by Apple. It also allows you to organize and manage calendars, bookmark, notes, to-do lists and other data. iCloud is Apple’s latest branding of cloud computing services and it was branded previously as iTools in the year 2000, .Mac in 2002 and MobileMe in the year 2008.

As per the recent rumors it has become somewhat clear the Apple’s highly anticipated, next-generation smartphone iPhone 5 would be launched in the US on September 5. The world wide launching of Apple’s iPhone 5 would be around the month of October. Even though September 5 is the labour day, it is very much likely that Apple would release iPhone 5 on that date.

Apple has today confirmed that it has decided to discontinue the entry-level, white polycarbonate MacBook, making the new, $999 11-inch Macbook Air the least expensive one in the family. The entry level white MacBook has already been removed from product page of Apple, but if anyone still needs the white plastic chassis, they can buy a refurbished, year-old white MacBook for $849.

Apple Inc would be holding a news conference on Friday to address the issues regarding iPhone 4 which have attracted a lot of criticism recently. The major criticism factor is  over the reception problem due to the antenna design. Company says that it is due to some software problem and states that there is nothing wrong with the design of the Antenna. The conference is to be held at Apple’s Head quarters.
