Apple is all set to launch its Next iPhone, in a move to tackle the increasing Smartphone competition. The next iPhone by Apple would be very much similar to the current version of iPhone 4 and the major difference that it is planning to implement is to make the iPhone thinner, lighter and with an improved 8 megapixel camera.

iPhone 4The announcements are now over and Airtel and Aircel are finally bringing the iPhone 4 to India on May 27, Friday. Remember that the same was launched in the United States almost an year ago in June. The iPhone 4 will be coming in two versions in India. One version of the iPhone 4 in India would have a memory capacity of 16GB and would be priced at Rs 34, 500, while the second version of iPhone 4 having a memory capacity of 32GB would come at a price of Rs 40,900. A requisite bumper, to avoid the ‘death grip’, will be charged for separately. Customers who are going for a new connection would be getting a micro SIM for the device.

Compared with its predecessors, the iPhone 4 comes with a sleek, sharp and comes with a 3.5 inch screen with 640 X 960 pixel resolution which is known as the Retina display. The Retina Display is considered to be the highest resolution display ever built into a phone. Another major feature of the iPhone 4 is the FaceTime for video calling facility. The operating system for iPhone 4 is iOS 4  and offers features such as multitasking,  folders, spell check, iBooks and a other new features. The iPhone 4 has a 5 megapixel camera which has an LED flash also for illumination along with front VGA camera to support video calling.

Apple Inc would be holding a news conference on Friday to address the issues regarding iPhone 4 which have attracted a lot of criticism recently. The major criticism factor is  over the reception problem due to the antenna design. Company says that it is due to some software problem and states that there is nothing wrong with the design of the Antenna. The conference is to be held at Apple’s Head quarters.
