Tendulkar has once again let us down in a failed batting display as he played an unimpressive innings against Sri Lanka in the ongoing Asia Cup Cricket Championship being held in Bangladesh. Tendulkar score 6 runs from 19 balls before giving away his wicket to Lakmal leaving millions of Sachin fans all over the world disappointed. It has been exactly one year since Sachin scored his last international century and off late he has been in a worst form.

The disastrous tour to Australia where he could not even score more than 15o runs from around 7 innings tells us the bad state Sachin is going through. Cricketing legends are crying for this retirement and fans a waiting for his much anticipated century which leaves Sachin Tendulkar in huge pressure. Sachin has never taken such a long time to hit a century in his long 23 year old cricketing career.

He has achieved everything that a batsman can dream of and there are still many other that have eluded him. The magic 100th ton has been eluding him since an year and he had some good chances against West Indies, England and Australia where he almost came close to making his 100th century but fell short by few runs. It seems that the additional burden of expectations has taken toll on him. After a disastrous tour of Australia he was still included in the ODI team for the Asia Cup Cricket Championship in Bangladesh.

In the initial match of Asia Cup, Cricket fans all over the world expected something big from Tendulkar, but Tendulkar left the fans disappointed  by getting our early. However India managed to win the match, thanks to brilliant centuries by Kohli and Gambhir followed by good bowling by the Indian bowlers. It seems that pressure has not been removed from Tendulkar’s mind and he is not able to play his natural game.

There are still few more matches left in Asia Cup and we can hope that Tendulkar scores his magical 100th ton in any of these matches and give us some satisfaction. He can also think of retiring once he achieves that milestone as his ODI charisma seems to have faded away. He is no more the same ODI player that we saw 10-15 years back, when he slammed the best of the bowlers without any mercy and always scored centuries at will. But now time has changed and he is somewhat at the receiving end, failing to get runs and the much awaited 100th ton, testing the patience of the fans.  Hope that he achieves the milestone in this tournament and would not let us down anymore!!

The whole world has been waiting patiently for the last few weeks to see Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar scoring his 100th century in the on-going test series against England. In the first two sets the Sachin fans were disappointed as the master blaster could not notch up the much awaited century. The reason was not that he was out of form, but the conditions at England and the pressure was enormous. Tendulkar seems to be in good nick so far in the English tour, but he has not been able to produce that big score so far.

Now cricket fans all over the world are waiting for the third cricket test at Edgbaston and hopes that Sachin Tendulkar scores his 100th ton there. It would be a great moment for Sachin who is is one of the all-time best batsman in the world and has broken almost all the batting records in the history of cricket. He might have entered the twilight of his career, but he is still a role model for the youngsters and he is batting as beautifully as ever.
