Tendulkar is Really a Gem of India
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the best contemporary batsman and is considered only second to Don Bradman. Sachin has brought Indian cricket to a new level and has been there in the international arena for almost 21 years. He started his career as a 16 year old boy in 1989 against Pakistan and ever since he has conquered the hearts of cricket fans all over the world. Almost all the cricketing records are under his feat now and is considered as the God of Indian Cricket.
In the ongoing India – Australia Test Cricket series, he scored his 49th test century and 6th double hundred, and in the process crossed the 14k runs in his Test career. He also has more than 1000 runs this calendar year and it is the 4 time that he has achieved this feat. He is simply displaying his silken grace and is showing too much consistency for the last few years.
Sachin is getting all these runs with little effort and that is the mark of a true world class batsman. He may have entered the twilight of his career but is showing the same enthusiasm he showed 21 years back. And particularly against Australia, he has always given his best and he is one of the major fear factor in the Australian dressing room.
Throughout his career he has been a down to earth person who stayed away from unwanted controversies and the youngsters have a lot to learn from him. He always had the hunger to succeed and never took things lightly. Even for the matches against the much lighter teams, he didn’t compromise on any practice sessions and he always showed respect for all kind of teams.
He may not have too much international years left in him, but he seems set to entertain all of us with his batting charm and flair in the coming years. He is really an irreplaceable gem in the Indian cricket team and we would really miss him once he bows out. He is sure to conquer more records and heights in the coming days which would be hard to break by anyone in the recent future.
